WAYNETOWN-Fred R. Felix, 75, a farmer, died at 8:15 a.m. Saturday in Home Hospital at Lafayette where he had been a patient for the past four days. He had been in failing health for several months. Mr. Felix had been a farmer in the Boswell and Warren County area most of his life. He retired in 1966 and made his residence at Waynetown. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I and was a member of the Williamsport Christian Church. Born in Warren County on April 4, 1895, he was a son of Joseph and Emma Myers Felix. He was married in 1921 to Esther Jordan, who died in 1963. His second marriage was in 1964 to Besse Miller at Williamsport. She survives. He was preceded in death by two sons, killed during World War II. Other survivors are three sons, Fred of Evansville, Thomas of Hillsboro and Russell of Lafayette; two daughters, Mrs. William Childress and Mrs. Melvin Anderson of Boswell, a brother, William Felix of Lakeland, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Albertson of Kalama, Wash., and 14 grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in the Williamsport Christian Church. The body will lie in state there for an hour prior to the services. Rev. Douglas Dickey will officiate. Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery in Warren County. - thanks to Chris M.
